about our program
Instruction
Students receive instruction 2-3 days a week, 2 hours per day directly following school hours.
Regular instruction takes place at the schools. Special rehearsals and concerts are hosted at various community venues.
PLAY
Students learn from outstanding teaching artists who guide them on correct posture, technique, and musicality.
Students prepare a variety of musical works that are performed throughout the year.
Theory
Students are taught 1-2 hours of music theory each week to develop their reading ability and general understanding of music.
With this knowledge, students are able to compose their own works to perform for the community.
SOCIAL
Social skills are a critical part of child development. Students are given time at each meeting to discuss what is happening in their lives, schools, and communities.
Students are taught the value of social responsibility, and how music can quip them with skills that can shape their futures.
